On tap at the brewpub. A murky dark brown beer with a dense, creamy, beige head. Roasted malts in the back of the aroma, with nice pine hops dominating. Roasted, piney and quite acidic flavor, quite bitter. A bit thinnish on the palate, but smooth. Bitter in both the roasted and the hoppy way in the end. A nice one, but too thin. 110211

On tap at the brewpub. Murky brown. Lovely roasted grain flavour. Fennel, liquorice, salt. Coffee, charcoal. Fairly light body.

Medium offwhite head. Deep dark brown body. Fruity resiny wooden aroma with banana (wtf?) notes. Dry-sweet malty banana and resin taste with fruity milky notes. Mid-bodied. Slightly astringent, mild mouthfeel. Dry resiny grassy aftertaste with fruity wooden notes. Nice, drinkable, but a flawed. Needs more focus and a cleaner flavour. (0.4l draft at brewpub. Labelled "Batch #10", 5.1%. Assume itís the same beer.)

[email protected] brewpub. A brief beige head over a mid-brown body with good clarity. Soft, light caramelly malt aroma. Notes of earthy and spiced hops. Fairly light malt body. Faint caramel and nuts. Light to medium full. A fine peppery and earthy hop bitterness throughout.
