Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Light roasty chocolatey aroma with mealy vanilla and coffee notes. Dry-sweet milky vanilla coffee taste with dry cocoa notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, dusty mouthfeel. Dry burnt coffee aftertaste with faint acidity and some chocolate notes. Very nice. (0.4l draft at brewpub.)

, Oslo. Entirely black, no clarity. Two fingers of dense, ruddy-brown, cream head. Rich aroma of well roasted dark malts, black chocolate, coffee ground, and quite a dose of hops. Very filling for a 6.5 percenter. Smooth and thick in the mouth. Substantially bitter. Vanilla infused, roasted dark malts blends well in. Bittter coffee tones and notes of black chocolate/cocoa. Bitterness from both the hops and the malts linger in a long finish. This is really good stuff.
With a star guest brewere, it is perhaps no surprise that it is their best beer so far.
Lovely flavourful. Coffee, cocoa, a hint of smoke. Bitther coffee finish. Rye bread, a hint of vanilla.
