daje (4436) - NORWAY - SEP 4, 2012
Tap at Schouskjelleren, spring 2012. A black bodied beer with a big lasting beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus and coffee. Taste is roasty, with raisin, berries and citrus. Thick body, dry, good bitterness.

larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 29, 2012
Medium beige head quickly turns coarseish. Barely translucent deep dark brown body with light carbonation. Mealy roasty citric aroma with metal and flour notes. Vague. Dry burnt chocolate taste with citric resiny notes. Mid-to-full body. Sharpish mouthfeel. Dry salty tropical fruit aftertaste with resiny wooden chocolate notes. Not bad, but a bit sharp and clashing. (0.25l draft at Schouskjelleren, Oslo.)

Pours deep black colour with frothy and creamy beige head. Nice aroma of dark berries, malts and some far hint of coffee. Malty and roasty taste with medium sweetness and medium to high biterness. Heavy and full bodied, oily feel, sticky, soft carbonation and a long bitter hopy after taste. Very good one.

espenra (1015) - Kurland, NORWAY - APR 28, 2012
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Black colour with a small head. Aroma is sweet with notes of blackberries, cherry, malts and bubblegum. Flavour is fashionably bitter with notes of malts at first, but the hops, spices and blackberries soon taking over. Notes of dark caramel in the aftertaste.

On tap at Amundsen
Black , creamy light brown head. Smells of blackcurrant, roasted malts and espresso coffee. Taste is very malty, medium sweetness, roasty of coffee and very fruity of blackcurrant. Full bodied, soft carbonation, quite oily. Nice bitter finish, it’s medium to heavy bitter. Quite fruity, also some resins. Colab nr two between schouskjelleren and amundsen i actually a bit better, i will call it an improvement. The same tastes and aromas are present in both brews, this is only a bit better

Rune (12960) - Tromsø, NORWAY - APR 22, 2012
200ml enjoyed from tap at the brewpub. Beige head leaving great laces down the glass. Jet black body. Peaty, dark fruity nose. Solid and comprehensive taste of red oranges and anise, semi-sweet, on a backbone of slightly smoked malts. Good bitter support, that lasted all the way back to Gardermoen. One of the best brews so far from Schouskjelleren (Oslo, 09.04.2012).

KnutAlbert (6753) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 12, 2012
On tap at the brewpub. Tar, treacle, liquorice, very stringent bitterness. Think wooden sailships here. Very sharp, hoppy edge. I’d love this with a very ripe cheese and a chunk of bread.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2012 From tap @Schouskjelleren at the batch #150 fest. Entirely back, no clarity. Low dense choco head. Bold hoppy and roasty aroma. Fruit anf resin, hard roasted dark malts. Very flavorfull. Heavy roast with firm underlying bitterness. Notes of fruity flavoring hops and coffee-accented black malts. More than medium full. Bitterness and roast linger in lasting finish. A rock solid and powerfull Black ale.

Black :-) with an beige head. Very fruity and hoppy nose. A very dominant fruity flavour. Well blended with roasted malt and hopps. The best so far for my mouth at Schouskjelleren.
