On tap at Schouskjelleren (tasted: 2010-11-19) Hazy amber with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma with fruit, malt and yeast. Nice and refreshing.

23.11.2011. On tap at Schouskjelleren Mikrobryggeri, Oslo. Golden brown colour with a thin layered white head. Very nice smell of citrus with smooth floral bitterness. Very good flavours of hops. Good bitter finish.

Hazy, dark orange with a creamy offwhite head that clings to the glass like its life depended on it. Spicy, citric and bready aromas, with the trademark chemical and yeasty note to it. Refreshing and well balanced, with a solid bitter finish. Light bodied, with lively carbonation that adds to the drinkability. Not bad at all.

Medium beige head. Hazy reddish amber body. Citric wooden spicy aroma with fruity notes is surprisingly faint. Dry fruity chalky taste. Light body. Sharpish, somewhat astringent, mouthfeel. Dry roasty wooden spicy aftertaste with citric fruity notes. The aftertaste is where it happens, really. Nice session beer. (0.4l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy, amber colored beer with a small, dense, beige head. Mostly hoppy aroma, but with some coffee-like roasted notes. A bit weak. The flavor is on the hoppy side, lemon peel, oranges and some green pine cones. Decent bitterness. Full body and pleasant carbonation. Short finish that blends sugary malts and bitterness in a smooth way. Drinks easily, doesn’t impress. 110211

350ml, 4.9% ABV, draught at the brewpub. Cloudy, dark amber body. Nice lacing from a tiny, off-white layer. Sweet malt-fruity smell. Sharp fruity caramel in flavour with a note of liquorice and some leafy hops. Rounded bitter end. More or less true to the style (Oslo, 01.04.2011).

Tap at brewpub. Cloudy golden color, thin white head. Thin aroma with some fruit and soap. taste is better with a good caramel taste blended with the centennial, the bitter ending has a kind of sour feel. Not the best one I’ve had from Schouskjelleren

Tap at Schoukjelleren. Murky copper, thin white head. Not much aroma. Some roasted malts and apples. Taste is malty, good sweetness, some hay i flavor. Finish has some hop bitterness, but nothing extreme about it. OK beer

From [email protected] brewpub. Fully diminishing off-white foamy head. Murky orangey-amber body. A strong yeast smell for a starter, followed by a sappy fruitiness and whiff of sweetish, light caramelly malts. Yeasty flavor as well. Medium strong malt base, sweet-accented and toasted. A certain fruit flavor from the hops, not much of the bittering. Light to medium body. Yeasty endnotes. Dull and indistinct, will probably improve with lagering.
