8 degrees C. Pours slightly hazy brown/dark amber with small off-white head with sufficient retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and honey. As expected with that aroma, this is a quite sweet brew, but not unpleasantly so. Taste again dominated by roasted caramel malt but with a mild spiciness to counterpoint. Bitterness only appears in the aftertaste. Sweet, but no off tastes and not too heavy to be drinkable.
Amber with an off white head - Nice malt aroma - Nice malt body with caramel - The malt and caramel goes into the finish - This was very nice, and easy drinking Rune (14045) - Tromsø, NORWAY - SEP 13, 2015
200ml draught at the brewpub. Deep ruby-red body. Filmy layer blanketing the glass. Attractive aromas of dark fruits and dark malts. Jam-like taste of black currant, dark malts, and dark fruits. A nice bittersweet finish. Fine bodied. Likable (Oslo 08.09.2015). thebeertourist (5188) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2015
On tap at Nedre Foss gård. Red copper, creamy beige head. Tart fruit, spices, berries, caramel. Hides its strength well. A bit too tart for a doppelbock, but interesting. visionthing (5656) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 12, 2015
On tap at Schouskjelleren Mikrobryggeri, Oslo. Slightly hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Malty aroma dominated by caramel with some almost floral not of honey, berries and spices. Certainly sweet, but interesting flavours and it is a bit balanced even thou the sweetness is dominating. Quite pleasant stuff.

Deep nutty color with a tan head. Honey-ish, dried fruits and toffee aroma. Medium + body and a soft carbonation. Tad sweet and a moderate bitterness. Fruity, toffee and honey-ish flavor. Nice and tasty doppelbock.
