Medium brown head. Utterly opaque black body. Roasty raisiny earthy aroma with wild berry and metal notes. Dry-sweet earthy grape taste with roasty papery notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy wooden coal aftertaste with burnt notes. Did not enjoy. Closed, dense burnt flavour. Didn’t finish the glass. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)
On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Slightly hazy and very dark, close to black, with a beige head. Aroma of dark fruits, dark malt, some moderate roasty notes, sour dark berries and hints cold coffee. Moderate sweet with some lighly sour notes. Fruits and berries is dominating the flavour with some malty and roasty notes too. Tasty and quite drinkable, but surprisingly thin and watery somehow. Finishes fairly dry. Slightly strange, but quite nice.
