On tap at Schouskjelleren, pours black with a medium tan head. Nose brings out a good mix of roast and citrus hops, with an ever so slight hint of tartness. Well-balanced between the roast and hops. Thick palate, with a high viscosity. Good stuff.

On tap @ Melkebaren. Dark brown body with a lacing beige head. A bit light aroma of roasted dark malt, grapefruit and pine. Flavor is pleasant dark malt, moderate roasted, fruity, pine and decent bitterness. Fine body and good aftertaste. Nice and well-made BIPA without pushing any limits.

On tap at Bergen Ølfestival. It pours a dark brown body under a small, dense, dark beige head. The aroma has pine cones, grapefruit, some roasted malts and coffee and a good dash of caramel. It has a nice bitterness in the mouth, with caramel sweetness in the back. Pine cones, grapefruit and roasted malts too. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting bitter finish. A bit more roasted and malt forward than I prefer, but it’s sure a fine brew. 140905

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of neutral, old hops, leafs, dark malts, grass, bark, hints of sulfur. Taste is slightly dry grassy, harsh hops, bark, paper, old leafs, burnt caramel, minerals, dark malts. Longlasting bitterness, harsh mouthfeel. Meh!

Fra fat på bryggeripuben 28 Jul 14. Ultradyprød amber. Litt lacing. Svakt røstet aroma. Smaken er godt balansert. Litt røstethet - litt tørket frukt. Det røstete preget dukker opp igjen i avslutninga.
