500 ml bottle, Cardinal’s Yule beer tasting 2013. ABV is 6.5%. BB date 2015-02-20, cap is marked Dugges 209. Very dark reddish brown colour, moderate beige head. Roasty aroma and flavour, notes of coffee, wood and dark chocolate, medium dry. Nothing particularly "Christmassy" about it, but a decent porter all the same. gunnar (9019) - Sandnes, NORWAY - NOV 18, 2013

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Very dark ruby colour, moderate off-white to beige head. Roasty aroma, notes of dark chocolate and mild coffee. Roasty and fairly dry flavour, dominant coffee notes, also dark bitter chocolate and bittering hops. There might be some Christmas spices hidden in there somewhere, but there is really not much specifically "Christmassy" about the beer - it is a decent standard porter, drinkable at any time of the year, whenever you crave a porter.
Shared bottle at Cardinal. Pours clear very dark ruby with a small beige head. Dark malty aroma, dark fruits. Taste is spicy, liquorice, roast and with a good bitter end, moreish.
