Shared 500 ml bottle, which I nearly had forgotten was in my stash. ABV is 6.5%. Christmas 2013, BB date 20.02.2015. Nearly black colour, huge beige head. Malty and vinous aroma. Aroma; dark malts, plum peel, berries, fermented dark fruit, wood, oak, roasted malt note, liquorice note. Look; beige head, black body. Taste; black caramel malts, liquorice, plum peel, sour prune, strong syrup sauce - finishes mostly malted, some fruity hops still swimming about. Feel; solid body, somewhat stingy carbonation. Small brown body. Opaque black body goes deep dark red at edge. Earthy spicy lacquer aroma with cocos notes. Sweet roasty earthy lacquer taste with spicy notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel. Dryish earthy spicy cocos aftertaste with lacquer notes. Nice and drinkable, but a bit anonymous. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Lørenskog. Appears to be batch #40.) Dark brown color, ok beige head. Aroma has bread, toasted malts and caramel. Medium-bodied. Bready maltyness, light grass hops, caramel. Some dark chocolate. Very straightforward, even simple, clean and malty Xmas beer.

(from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes, 7% abv). More or less black colour with a mediumsized creamy brown head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is nutty, roasted, some smoked notes as well as some slight herbs. Flavour is spiced, some quite strong hoppy notes, mild ashes and roasted malts. Long black malty aftertaste.

[ Trade by yngwie ]. Clear medium to dark red brown color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, spicy notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, malt bitter, roasted, chocolate, dusty, spicy. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.

Bottle. Pours a brown color with a small tan head. Has a slightly roasted malty caramel aroma. Roasted malty spicy caramel flavor. Has a roasted malty caramel and licorice finish.
