On tap @ Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Black body, medium off-white head. Nose is cat pee, coffee, hints of roasted malts and grass. Taste is roasted malts, cat pee and grass, with hints of dark chocolate and pine. Smooth mouthfeel, light and moderately carbonated. Nice, but not too remarkable IMO.

On tap @ Schouskjelleren. Slightly hazy, dark amber body with a dark beige head. Aroma of dark, light roasted malt, berries and fruit. Flavor is sweet, light roasted malt, some citric fruit, balanced bitterness and a hint of chocolate. There is different opinions on the body, but I think this has a nice body considering only 4,7% alcohol. A decent one with high drinkability.

Medium brown head. Hazy opaque black body goes deep dark brown at edges. Roasty gooseberry aroma with earthy dusty grape notes. Dry-sweet roasty earthy kiwi taste with resiny grape notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, dusty mouthfeel. Dryish mango and grape aftertaste with long lingering roasty chocolate notes. Really nice. Highly drinkable, complex and interesting. Good session beer. (0.4l draft at brewpub.)

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Almost black with an off-white to beige head. Yeasty Schouskjelleren aroam with hops and malt. Quite hoppy and bitter, but not as much flavour as expected. Fairly light body. Feels more than a black coloured IPA than a black IPA. On the blackboard it was called a "hoppy black ale" and that is probably a better description...(2012-10-03)

On tap at the brewery.
Dark color, good foam.
Immediate hoppy aromas- intense catpiss aromas. Some "funny" yeast aromas. Medium body & complexity.good bitterness, ok balance.
Pretty ok beer, but a bit one dimensional. Where are the black "flavours"? Except color, quite similar to Female of the species

On tap at the brewpub. Murky and ashy grey, not the prettiest in town. Herbs, malt, long bitter tail. Bittersweet, very pleasant.
