On tap @ Schouskjelleren. Smells nice, ryeish, not too sweet. A little bready in a way, blended with soft chocolate biscuits, fruity hops, something that reminds me of nuts and sweet malts. Nice aroma. The beer itself is dark copper, cloudy and with a dense lacing off-white head on the top. Tastes really good also. This is a typical Rye-ale, just without all that cloying sweetness that often cones in these. It has a nice thick oily texture and a prickling about average creamy carbonation level. Rye bread, toffee, some ripe fruits and a little bit of hoppy citrus. Really likable this, and I’m looking forward to the master genius Tore Ryen gets his own Schouskjelleren beer.. 31.05.2015 bergstaden (3039) - Røros, NORWAY - SEP 26, 2015

On tap at Schouskjelleren, Oslo. Clear deep amber with a small, off-white head. Mild malty aroma with notes of rye bread, citrus and hints of fruits and herbs. Medium sweet and somewhat bready with a descent bitterness. Quite drinkable, but neither very interesting or special. larsga (7567) - Oslo, NORWAY - MAY 15, 2015
Small offwhite head. Clear brown body with light carbonation. Fruity gooseberry aroma with metal notes. Dry-sweet resiny fruity taste with catty chalky notes. Mid-bodied. Sharpish mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny catty fruity aftertaste with spicy wooden citric notes. Nice, drinkable, but where is the rye? (0.2l draft at brewpub.) borre_m (1667) - NORWAY - AUG 30, 2014
