Palme (5024) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 3, 2013
On tap @ Henrik. Heavy cloudy and dark almost bronze colored in the glass with a big impressive heavy lacing off-white top that lasts forever. It smells really fruity even before I’ve smelled it. It’s herbal and somewhat smoky! Yeah, definitely a good amount of smoke in this It’s soft to average on the carbonation and the mouthfeel is thin oily. Tastes like soap with added smoke. Hmm.. No way this is supposed to taste like this. Burned medicinal plastic and smoked soap. It’s shockingly sweet as well. Something gone terrible wrong in all so many ways, and a IPA? No it isn’t. A shame. Did not finish, and I actually think that’s the first time I’ve ever done here at Henrik. Not sure if I will, but I should try this again some time. 12.04.2013

From tap @Schouskjelleren. Hazy, bright amber. Medium-sized blond head. Fruity hop aroma reminscent of oranges, lemon peel and candied yellow fruits. Light to medium malt body. Light caramel, grainy and light toasted tones. Firm fruity bitternes with a minty and leafy twang. Fairly dry with a chalky mouthfeel. Lasting fruity bitter ending. A pretty good one. [08.03.13]

Tap at Schouskjelleren, february 22nd 2013. Another new ipa from Schouskjelleren, who’d have thought? Looks good with its hazy light amber body and white creamy head. Aroma is hoppy, fruity, peach, pineapple, pepper, quite nice. Taste of yeast and fruity hops, pineapple mostly, bready malt, sweet. Bitterness somewhat overshadowed by the sweetness, still a good beer. Aftertaste is exactly as fruity as imagined with these hops.

Small offwhite head. Hazy amber body with slow carbonation. Faint oily banana aroma. Dry-sweet strawy candy grain taste with dried fruit notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fluffy mouthfeel. Dry fruity grainy toffee aftertaste with metallic notes. Unusual. Not sure what to make of this one. (0.2l draft at brewpub.)

Foffern (2145) - Bodø, NORWAY - MAR 27, 2013
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Has a hazy orange colour with a creamy off-white head. Fruity aromas of peaches, fruity hops, and some cardboard and diacetyl. The taste is also fruity with grassy hops, apricot, pine needles and some diacetyl again. Has a rich, soft mouth feel, and a light to medium bitterness. An ok IPA, but is somewhat unbalanced.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Dark gold. Intense hoppiness. Cascade, chinook, with just the extra touch of smake malt to make it stand out. Great stuff.

Orange hazy, white head. Smells of citrus zests, malts, hints of wet paper. Light to moderate sweet, some more wet pater and malts, some fruityness. Medium bitter, nice resins. This one appears a bit too fresh for me. Might be better if gaining a week or two

Cunningham (8818) - Halden, NORWAY - FEB 27, 2013

Appearance: Cloudy golden color with a off white head that leaves a fine lacing.
Aroma: Hoppy and a bit fruity.
Palate: Medium body. Slightly sweet and a nice bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Citric hoppy. Mild fruity (tropical side) and a fine malt background.
Overall impression: Refreshing and tasty IPA. One of the best I have had from Schouskjelleren.
Personal stats: On tap @ source.

ABS (1146) - Stokke, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2013
On tap. Hazy light orange. Hop and some citrus aroma, some minerals. Some bitterness. A bit to thin and watery, with a tad to much carbonation. An ok IPA.

visionthing (5735) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - FEB 22, 2013
On tap at Schouskjelleren. Slightly hazy golden to amber, with an off-white head. Fruity and hoppy with citrus, tropical fruits, malt and hints of spices. Medium body with a bit lively carbonation and well integrated alcohol. Medium sweet and quite citrusy with a fairly bitter finish. Decent and refreshing IPA.
