350ml, 5.1% ABV, from tap at the brewpub. Small tan coloured head to a jet black body. Good lacing to the glassware. Roasted smell of dark malts. More burnt than roasted dark malts in flavour followed by smooth bitter endnotes. Enjoyable (Oslo, 01.04.2011). Meilby (11692) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 30, 2011

Medium brown head. Opaque black body. Roasty chocolatey coffeeish
aroma with caramelly notes. Dry-sweet watery caramelly coffeeish taste
with grainy roasty notes. Thinnish body. Mild mouthfeel. Dry burnt
coffeeish aftertaste with metallic mealy notes. Nice, clean, maybe
slightly underflavoured, but perfectly decent. (0.33l draft at

On tap @ the brewpub. Close to black body with a thin beige head. Aroma of smooth roasted malt. Flavor is quite refreshing malt, fruity, roast and smoke. Moderate bitter and a pleasant roasted finish with dark chocolate. A well balanced stout at less than 5% alcohol, easy to drink with a well pronounced roasted flavor. In short: A medium-sweet medium-hoppy stout with a bit of everything. Good beer.visionthing (5532) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - JUL 3, 2012
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Black body topped by a small tan head with excellent retention and leaving lots of lacings on the glass
In long: Nose is medium-roasted, some toasted tobacco leafs, raisin pie. Taste has some black liquorice, some raisins, some vanilla, light notes of chocolate, light notes of coffee beans. Then a good amount of citrsusy/citric hops that creates a contrast and a refreshing finish. Mouthfeel is soft with a carbonation much more relaxed than everything else I had from this brewpub. Quite enjoyable, a beer I would have probably enjoyed a lot more if it wasn’t for their hoppy beers being so damn fantastic. I don’t know what a Thunder Bear is, but the simple fact that one day a bear said “hey guys every year let’s just eat a ton of food and then sleep for 6 months” really makes question the notion that humans are the smartest species on the planet.
From tap at Schouskjelleren. Dark, almost almost black with a beige head. Roasty aroma some fruits, chocolate and hints of coffee. Quite well balanced and easy to drink. Lightly bitter finish with an aftertaste of coffee.
