COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh, ripe red raspberries and orange blossom honey make this well-balanced mead leave you wanting glass after glass. As the first mead ever made by Ken Schramm, renowned author of The Compleat Meadmaker, raspberry mead holds a special place in our heart, and our cellar. Among the most long-lived of melomels, Schramm’s Raspberry will age well for ten years or more. Enjoy with grilled salmon or a slice of rhubarb pie.

Very nice deep red color with a tart fruity scent. Tart dark fruit flavors. Leaves a really nice raspberry flavor on your lips after every sip. My first from Schramms and I definitely like it.

Pours clear red. Aroma is straight raspberry honey. Cherry notes. Flavor is sweet raspberry honey. Pretty much what you expect from a schramm's raspberry mead. Excellent.

At Hopishop 2017. Aroma of syrup, raisin, raspberry and sugar. Taste has sugary syrup, raspberry, soft tart and ripe fruit. This is actually quite nice.

Bottle. Poured a red raspberry color with no head. Lots of nice raspberries (one of my favorite to use in beers and meads). Jammy and some honey. Nice for a mead for sure. As much as I dislike meads, this makes me like them.

Bottle (2017, I assume), shared by ygtbsm94 on 6/10/17, thanks Brad!
Bright, yet deep, blood-red-raspberry with violet tinges, a touch of pectin-like haze perhaps.
Bright, vivacious raspberry fruit straddles the line between jammy and more refined, but it’s certainly jam-packed with aromatics, however you see it. A touch of waxen character and tons of black pepper phenol on the finish but otherwise clean with no booziness. Rich, intense, fully fruit-forward and yet with a nicely balancing acidity.
Rich and velvety in the mouth with well-fermented, deeper, more acidic and peppery juice notes mixing with soft, rich, vanilla-accented honey. Lovely acidity coats the back of the teeth, on the finish and the mead is nicely balanced, though very rich and intense. Alcohol is low and the mead is clean.

UPDATED: JUL 22, 2017 Bottle. Pours a clear light ruby red beer without any head on top. Aroma of raspberries, honey and booze. Flavor is very, very sweet, lots of dry raspberries, alcohol is very well hidden, the mouthfeel is dry compared to the heavy alcohol. Nice, strong and light complex. Very decent.

Honey, sweetness, raspberries, slighty boozy. Acidity from the berries balance out the sweetness, almost a slight bitter twang which also helps mellow out the sweet honey tones. Looks great in the glass. Medium body. Very enjoyable!
