COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Schremser Roggenbier is the rediscovery of a beer speciality, which was traditional up until the 15th century when it was then banned. Top-fermented, Schremser Roggen stands out due to its intensive full-bodied taste. Slightly fruity to start then pithy with a long aftertaste. 11.9°

Bottle. Wheat, banana and bubblegum aroma and flavour. Clovey, yeasty flavours also come through on the palate. Smooth, soft palate, with a nice subtle tart edge, quite tasty actually.

UPDATED: JUN 23, 2011 GBBF, London. Bottled. Very smooth, Weisse- like Roggen. Slightly rose hued, yellow, cloudy beer. Small, smooth head. Nice enough flavours: banana, raspberry, and quite sweet. Very balanced, but not outstandingly complex. (3.2 on 9/8/2004). RE-RATE: keg at the Draft House, Tower Bridge. Sweet, sharp, pastey thick beer. Nice mouthfeel. Very interesting beer, with mint notes. (3.7 on 23/6/2011) = Ave 3.5.

GBBF 2004 - Bottled. A hazy golden rye beer with an aroma of bubblegum and bananas. The taste is typically roggen with loads of sweet banana notes. Nice but a bit sickly.
