3fourths (9347) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Draft at the brewery in Priesendorf. Clear gold with a short white head and little retention. Pils malt manifests as corn kernels / popcorn (no diacetyl) with barely noticeable lemon hoppiness. Medium-light body, lightly sweet and starchy and salty and a little husky, medium-low bitterness well suited for the body and sugar level. Like the dunkles there’s fusels but they are milder here, pricking the tongue lightly but not completely ruining the experience. Carbonation is fine but the malt is husky and rough giving it a sandy / silty texture. Pretty average Helles with some minor fermentation problems. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - APR 23, 2012
on tap at the brewery, just a small one as it was early in the day. pale golden with a light haze and a steady bubbly head; aroma of wet hay; not particularly exciting but with some pleasant chewy malt character and a lightly tinny finish fonefan (49423) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 20, 2011

Steinkrug - Ceramic mug. Light unclear light medium yellow amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, bright caramel, fruity, malty. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
From tap at the brewpub. Stone mug. The aroma is refreshing with notes of malt, bread and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of malt, bread, light butterscotch and flower. The finish is dry – it’s a refreshing beer. MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - MAY 9, 2011
(draught at the brewpub) Clear, golden colour with a short foamy white head. Mildly sweet grainy and slightly buttery malty aroma with a tinge of herbal hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Good pale malty body with grainy accents and herbal hops; almost dry, malty and slightly herbal hoppy finish. Just a solid Helles from Franconia. 17.IV.11

Cloudy golden with a medium off white head. Malty aroma with diacetyl, caramel and grassy hops. Flavour was sweet with malt, caramel and grassy hops towards the end. Quite bitter. Oakes (17685) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 24, 2009
Ceramic mug. Lightly fruity aroma. Malty - some caramel and possibly diacetyl. Vaguely refreshing, with a toasty dried leaf note in the finish. Not really my favorite frankenlager. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 15, 2009
Draft at brewpub. In krug. Rocky head is sudsy. Smells metallic, hoppy, lemon rind, and farmy/rustic. Seems charming enough. Quaffable mouthfeel. Metals in the foreground of the flavors, the middle is wood, and farm, and the flavors become sour and funky. MiP (15667) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 12, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Clear golden colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is citric, has a little malt sourness. Hint of dust. OK, but not great.
