Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Light cocoa and malt aroma. Malt and cocoa linger with light oats. Medium bodied - smooth for a 10% impy stout. Cocoa and malt linger with light oats. joeneugs (6371) - Livermore, California, USA - MAR 24, 2013
On draft at Tap 25. It pours a dark brown color with a brown head. The aroma is chocolate with roasted malt, hints of coffee and plum. Nicely balanced. The flavor is caramel sweet with cocoa powder and a little cola. Licorice sweet finish. Surprisingly not very roasted. A decent Impy stout, but it seems smaller than the ABV suggests. This might not be a bad thing, but it’s a bit simple as well. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - MAR 6, 2013
On tap. Black with a thin fizzy brown head. Fairly fruity aroma and taste of cherry, raisin, and molasses with a lot of syrupy roasted grain notes throughout and a nice creamy palate.
