COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our take on Germany’s most popular beer style features three different types of German noble hops and traditional malts that provide this beer with a crisp bitter taste as well as the iconic dense white head. The light golden color and refreshing 4.8% make this beer easy to enjoy all year round.

On tap at the brewery. Clear yellowish orange, white head. Smells crisp, fresh grainy and lightly spicy. Taste is crisp, lightly peppery, and a bit minerally. I liked this a lot.

Pint on tap. Clear golden with a ring and islands of bubbles. Mild nose of grassy hop, citrus and toasted grain. Flavors of the same. Light-medium body has smooth medium fizz and a good balance. Decent, but not as crisp or flavorful as the better takes on the style.

decaturstevo (6341) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - DEC 1, 2016
Clear deep yellow with white head. Aroma is floral hops and pilsner malt. Flavor is lightly sweet malt, light corn/pils malt with floral hops. Light bodied and a touch watery along with a nice earthy bitter. 11/26

Pint at the brewery. This is a hazy gold sporting an everlasting white head. Schultz Brau has made a decidely European-tasting, malty pilsner. Though malt-forward and bready, a good, spicy hop balance is struck. Notes of candy corn come through in the flavor. It finishes medium dry with a touch of buttery corn, bringing a classic like Urquell to mind. Very old world take on the style.

Foxbush (2072) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - SEP 9, 2016
Draft at the brewery o August 25th The pils poured a clear light amber color with a small head and lacing. This is a German style pils that is quite drinkable. The beer did have a light body with soft carbonation. The aroma of crystal malts was detected. The finish was clean with no hop bitterness.

SpringsLicker (3660) - Tennessee, USA - AUG 26, 2016
Yellow pour with a white head. Light soft hop and malt aroma. The flavor is also light and well balanced, typical of a good German style Pils. Enough hops to add spice to the malt. Subtle and easy drinking.

16 oz draft at the Schulz Brau Brewing Company in Knoxville, Tennessee. The pour is golden with a small white head and nice lace. The aroma is fresh cereal grain along with some herbal hay. The taste is fresh and clean cereal grain balanced nicely with the herbal earthy hops. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and an earth, mineral and hay finish. Easy drinking, nice beer.
