29-12-17 // draft at the brewery, Schumacher Stammhaus. Clear amber brown, fine-pored foamy head. Very well balanced Alt. Mild sweet caramelly maltness and a solid hop bitterness. venom666 (1137) - Elche, Alicante, SPAIN - DEC 16, 2017
Pours a clean copper color with medium beige head. Aroma is malty and hoppy, with a marked burnt character. Taste follows the nose, sweet, with citrus, caramel/toffee and a slightly roastiness. Bitter ending to it. MikeBeermaster (1200) - that shaggy maggot, POLAND - DEC 6, 2017
Fruity, estery notes with some bready back. Dark copper in the glass with a medium head. Taste is semi dry with some notes of red fruits, bit of grainy note and nutty. Full fruity, full estery, good, but I missed some grainy balanced note. ippopotamo36 (2676) - Rome, ITALY - NOV 8, 2017
Gravity keg at the source in Düsseldorf (Germany). Amber clear with orange highlights, medium beige head. Nose: round roast a bit smoky, presence of firm caramel, cherry hints. Mouth: frizzy carbo, malty, caramel is not predominant, carbo covers the rest. Decently bittered.

Decent. Too water to me in this stuff... I prefer uerige. There is malt, hop extract... no real components, just imitation... Bitter taste. No complexity as uerige. Piepenhenrich (1315) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2017
Disclaimer: Being brought up on Altbier I cannot be regarded as 100% objective. Schumacher is, however, one of the best Altbier. It is good from the flip-top bottle, but - not surprisingly - best from tap in the brewery's outlet. kraddel (9422) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - AUG 29, 2017
Pours clear, bit lighter than most alts, but still quite clear , caramelly darker amber. Foam is rather fluffy, but very persistant. Smell is bit weak. Mild metallic notes and malts. Taste is full, round, caramelly malts all the way. Very subtile notes of hops. Refreshing and easy drinkable. tonyferrari (33) - North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - AUG 12, 2017
Served on tap. Clear amber-copper colour. Thick long-lasting off-white foam. Light herbal aroma. Malty-roasty flavour and a smooth bitterness which makes the 4.6% Abv seem higher.. Medium body and medium carbonation. One of the best altbier in Düsseldorf.
