Een mooi, helder geel pils met een mooie schuimige witte kraag. Het aroma is hop bitter, en toch enigszins verfrissend. De nasmaak is echter oppervlakkig en blijft niet lang hangen. A nice clear, yellow lager with a nice, foamy white head. Is has a hop-like aroma, but still somewhat sweet. The taste is hop-bitter, but somehow still refreshing. The palate however is somewhat shallow, and doesn't hang on.

Kostet fast nichts, Sieht ganz ok aus, riecht merkwürdig, schmeckt überhaupt nicht, im Regal stehen lassen!

30cl Flasche. Goldgelbes Bier. Der Schaum zerfällt sofort. Der Geruch ist unangenehm. Metallisches Getreide. Der Geschmack kann da locker mithalten. Mettalisch, Pappe und Getreide. Erinnert an chinesisches Dosenbier.

50cl can. Aroma of light malts, corn?, and grass Taste follows nose. Not much to say; it’s watery, bland, and not that great.

Aroma/appearance: did not smell or see; Taste: inoffensive but not good; Palate: light bodied with long, unpleasant grainy finish; Overall: fine for a canal tour with nothing better around, but otherwise would not get again.

Can from Bram at Parkpop 2016. Bitter and stale pilsener with average carbonation.

From a 50 cl can bought at a Deen supermarket in Lelystad. Apparently brewed at the Martens plant in Kaulille, Belgium. Lacing, moussy, thick, snow white head over a cristal clear ’old gold’ coloured beer with low fizz, a tad darker than average for the style. Aroma of cooked sugar corn, sourdough, fermenting grass, wet kitchen towels, soaked banana bread, some ’can iron’. Sourish and ’sweaty’ grainy onset, dull, with unmistakable maltose sweetness on top defining the rest of the palate, too soft carbo for the style rendering the mouthfeel notably watery, metallic ’zing’ too, ending very mildly grassy bitter with a certain chemical twist to it somewhere. Bland industrial lager, in which the deeper than average colour hints at a notably malt sweet taste; hop bitterness is dull and industrial as expected, but a bit more effective than usual perhaps. Not the worst one but obviously boring at the same time, like most of Martens’ supermarket lagers.

Malts, corn, sugar.

Clear yellow/golden beer with a slight white head.

Super watery, slightly sweet with malts and corn.

Bottle at home. Clear golden with short lasting white head. Sweet grains, corn, wort, light herbs and honey. Taste is sweet with barely any bitterness. Thin bodied with low but prickly carbonation. Wow, this is not good at all, like all Martens.
