Bottled. A golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of straw and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a dry and hay-like finish. Mild.

Geschmacklich (fast) identisch mit dem Säntisbier. → Süffig-getreidig.

This is my first of this style of beer. The colour of the body was light golden with a compact head. Aroma was mix of soapy yeast and some hops. Taste was fairly thin and lacking any sort of body, maybe some malt characters coming through and some pear. Still I drank it down easy enough.

ALLOVATE (2992) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - JUN 10, 2005
UPDATED: JUL 10, 2005 After downing a ’Tiger’ I was after something a little more vibrant. This was next on the list and indeed turned out to be a light and easy quaffer. Tasted from the bottle and poured into it’s own stem glass. A short soapy white head formed, atop a slightly hazy pale gold body, and clung firmly to the glass as I downed it. Very loose yeast particles continued their dancing in suspension, good to see it’s not filtered. Bitter grassy aroma, initially, with a lot of sweet honey malt coming through as it warmed. Similarly sweet in the mouth, reminiscent of this morning’s breakfast. Lightly toasted malt, grains and honey. Light bodied and a little yeasty, it had mild carbonation and only a touch of leafy bitterness in the back. Finishes off with a short grainy and slightly soapy swallow. Not bad, undemanding but still a decent, light, summer beer.
