Bottle. Aldi. Very hazy, lemon juice gold. Thin, dense, lasting, bright white head. Nice looker. Nose has straw. Sweet grass. Hint of lemon rind hop. Taste is quite sweet and bready. Light, metallic bitterness. Light body, verging on thin. Light, metallic finish.

- hellgelbe Farbe mit ganz leichter zarter Schaumbildung - zarte – kaum wahrnehmbare - grasig saure Aromen - gut carbonisiert - geschmacklich bleibt dieses säuerliche erhalten - erst im Abgang kommt noch eine Hopfenbitternis hinzu - durchschnittliches Kellerbier Fazit: Sehr mäßiges Industrie-Kellerbier

Bottle . Pours a pale, hazy gold with a high, creamy, mixed-grained white head that leaves a bit of lace. Nose is lemon, strong yeast, bread dough, and stinky cheese -- it just smells really fermented without being spoiled, and I dig that. Strong and rustic on the tongue; more fermentation, almost to the point of acetic but not quite. Elements of rye bread, pickles, roast nuts, and a little honeyed sweetness. It drinks like a darker beer than it is. Finish is long and turns a little sweeter. Definitely a beer with a bit of a feral snarl to it, and that’s cool.

Wonderful beer I've enjoyed since moving to Germany 8 years ago. Sure it's not spectacular, it doesn't blow your mind. But it's readily available in Karlsruhe and has a lovely sweet, rich hoppy balance and lightness that makes it perfect on the hot BW summer nights. Kinda reminds me of a Krausen: straw, green, fresh and light but has a good rich quality to it. When you're in the Getränksmarkt and want a great quaffable light summer beer which has some depth: this satisfies. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flasche 0,5l: Goldgelb, deutliche Trübung, kräftiger grobporiger Schaum; in der Nase mild, leichte Süße, leichte Würze, Fruchtaromen, ansatzweise Zitrusnoten, malzig, Getreide; im Körper mild, leichte Würze, malzige Süße, cremig, etwas Kohlensäure, leichte Säure, Getreide; angenehmer trocken-würziger Nachgang

Bottle from a rest stop shop in Bayern. Aroma is grainy malt, straw, hay, minerals. Flavour is light to moderate bitter. Body is medium. Not a bad unfiltered Pilsener, but not a great Keller.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2017 Malty, hints of yeast and biscuits, medium body, medium bitterness. Decent.
