kerenmk (5169) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 7, 2017
Draft at Schwanen Brau in Ebermannstadt. Called dunkel Lagerbier. Clear brown with a frothy white head. Aroma of plenty of nuts, walnut peel. Bitter, a little bit metallic and nutty taste, light body, fine carbonation and nutty finish - delicate though.

Icedwarf (1804) - Etten-Leur, NETHERLANDS - AUG 20, 2015

My Bottom Line:
Metallic nodes grow on this Dunkel’s toasted toffee, clashing with the brew’s lean and fluffy feel.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sliver of foam rests atop the misty brown.
-This isn’t too sugary, but it’s sadly clunky.
-Light caramel appears in the finish.
-The mouthfeel is actually pleasant.

On tap at the brewpub.

UPDATED: JUN 7, 2013 Draft at Schwanen Brau in Ebermannstadt.
Called dunkel Lagerbier.
Clear amber copper body; short but tight off-white head.
Clean first impression of the aroma.
Nutty and sweet and bready Munich malt.
Crunchy grains, red apples, some caramel.
Good mineral quality, quenching and smacking.
Flavor shows some pleasant toasted malt expression, but not rich.
Semi-sweet chestnut flavor lingering with some candy sugar and light herb / spice.
Simple but well-executed.

It’s copper with a small, creamy head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel and light fruit, and the same notes are found I the flavour, that has a light sweetness and a light bitterness in the finish.

Clear amber with a medium off white head. Breadish nose with hints of grassy hops and toasted malt. Flavour had toasted malt, bread, grassy hops and caramel. Finished sweet and slightly bitter.

Draught at the brewpub. Clear amber colour. Small stable tan head. The flavour is subtle, nutty with a rough bitterness in the finish. Low carbonation.
