Frisch vom Hahn im Hotel Schwanenbräu getrunken Goldamber mit weißer Schaumdecke. Süßlich-würziger Antrunk, später wässrig werdend.

ippopotamo36 (2623) - Rome, ITALY - MAY 5, 2015
On tap at King Arthur pub in Ciampino-Italy. Pours clear golden, a bit pale but vivid, frothy white cap with retention. Nose: lemony, a rough maltiness. Mouth mirrors the nose, the beer is ok but a bit too shy in my opinion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Klare goldgelbe Farbe, fingerbreite weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, leicht grasig. Geschmack mild getreidig, hopfig, dezent bitter, grasig.

My Bottom Line:
Straw-like cereals and herbal hop bitterness try to make you forget about the hiding DMS, as mineral edges scratch every bubble.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the clear golden.
-The mouthfeel is dryish and softly carbonated.
-Hops and malts aren’t clearly expressed.
-Their beers taste like they’re trying to be a mid-sized, generic brewery.
-There are so many very good Pilseners in Germany... This is not one of them.

On tap at the brewpub.

Draft at the brewery in Ebermannstadt.
Classic appearance; sparkling gold with a fine white head.
Clean toasted pilsner malt aroma.
Mild to medium lemon / spice spalt hop profile.
Clean fermentation; no noticeable brewing flaws.
Soft dandelion / wildflower floral touches.
Good malt expression, rich aroma and flavor.
Enjoyable mineral / calcium crispness.
Semi-sweet; lush carbonation; good hefty malt acid.
Soft body, medium-heavy bitterness in finish.
All around solid pils, clean and bright and expressive.
Slight lemon astringency and husky malt keep it from being scored higher.

Mild-hopfiger Geruch, getreidig angehaucht. Milder süßlicher werdender Antrunk. Mittig einsetzende Bitterspur, die mit schöner Würzigkeit in den Abgang geht. Gelungenes Pils.Test vom 10.2.2010, Gebinde: Glasflasche

Maria (10211) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 22, 2011
The color is like clear apple-juice, and the ehad is small. The aroma has notes of malt, light butterscotch and bread. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of bread, malt, fruit, and the finish is dry – a nice one!

KimJohansen (10498) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2010
Clear golden with a medium off white head. Grainy aroma with hints of malt and hops. Flavour had hints of soap, malt and floral hops. Finished dry and bitter.

MiP (16054) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 5, 2010
Draught at the brewpub. Mildly buttery flavour. Vinous hint. A little sweet in the finish. Low carbonation

omhper (25949) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - AUG 10, 2008
Draught at the brewpub. Clear pale golden, small head. Strange salty sea arome. Medium dry and a bit fruity. Not really firm or crisp. Salty finish with a bit of plastic. An unconvincing pils where hops are too vague.
