rpattinson (84) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 7, 2005
Chicory, toffee, pepper and malt aroma; sweetish/bitterish taste with cream, malt, liquorice and toffee aromas; bitter finish with black toffee, coffee and pepper aromas. An excellent dark lager that is just about dry enough to be in the schwarzbier style.

Chestnut coloured beer with medium-lasting, medium-sized, creme coloured, sticky head. Keeps some foam. Aromas of red berries, grassy and floral hops, caramel, cheesy yeast, nice toffee, roasted malt, coffee andcereals . Nice roasted malt in taste, not too sweet, light salty but unfortunately a bit waterish. Light alcohol in aftertaste. Creamy texture, soft carbonation, medium body.

pivnizub (10730) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - JUN 20, 2007
Bottle: Dark-amber coloured, smaller fluffy off-white head, rather quickly collapsing; shy dryish-malty/roastmalty nose with a tinge of molasses and fruitiness waving through the backroom; moderate dry bitter (malty9 flavour, light- to medium-bodied, slightly lingering bitter-sweet finish with aromas of liquorice and vinous fruitiness in the aftertaste. Quite good, but seems to be a Schwarzbier.......
