Bottle shared at Natifest ’13. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate hop and dough malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where met. Pours a medium towards deep gold, very slight haze - almost looks like it might have been bottle conditioned? Slight but nice head. Aroma is slightly grassy hops. Flavor is crackery pale malts and light floral hops. A touch sweet, but some bitterness on the finish to clean things up. Bears no resemblance to any dortmunder/helles I have ever had before, closer to a land bier. But pleasant enough, happy to try something from Germany I hadn’t had before - just don’t see all that much these days, probably because the US micros are filling the market themselves quite nicely, thank you very much. 16.9oz bottle, thanks to Alicia M. for bringing this back for me. Shared at Natifest 2013. Hazy golden orange color. Minimal off-white head. Couple bits of lace. Nice sweet taste. Very light carbonation. Lighter body. Nice wheat, corn, straw, bread flavors. Good, clean sweeter lager drsordr (2969) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Bottle pour at Natifest 2013. Hazy lighter yellow. Nose sweet malt and minimal spice. Taste clean malt, faint fruit sweetness and then faint spiciness. No bitterness in the finish. A very clean drinking beer, but very mild. phaleslu (10957) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 5, 2013
500 ml bottle shared by DrSilverworm- thanks again, Chris! Pours a clear gold with a medium white head. Notes of pale and bready malts, some grass, straw- not much to it. Bready, malty, sweet, and dry. Light-bodied, with medium carbonation. Works for what it is.

16.9oz bottle 6/16/13 (Binny’s Naperville)-58° in Lager Glass-Pours a clear light golden with a small white head. Aroma of grains, grass, hay, and earthy. Taste of the same with some malt coming thru on the back end. This light bodied brew is a nice hot day kinda brew. RobertDale (7049) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - APR 10, 2013
500 ml. bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a decent white head. Aroma of malt, citrus, straw, and florals. Taste is similar. Not too exciting. wlajwl (7281) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - MAR 13, 2013
Aroma is sweetish/grainy malts. The flavor is mild/medium sweet malts, grainy texture and a mild tartness in the finish. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2013
I enjoyed this brew. It’s taste has a subtle smokey flavor that is not dominant, but it is evident. There is a slight flavor of bacon, which I guess is why there is a pig on the label! The palate is very smotth and the there is very little obtrusive aftertaste. The appearance is the one issue of this beer that I believe limits its overall score. It is a cloudy brew with no head or lacing. These are big negatives in my rating. Other than that the beer is refreshing, smooth and flavorful.
