This brings me back. This is the quintessential Bavarian Lager. Living in Europe for how long and getting so bored with most German beers, this one stands out as really bringing the Quality back. eczematic (1326) - Adelaide, AUSTRALIA - OCT 10, 2001
Beautifully balanced Munich Hell from a biodynamic farm-brewery near Munich. Yeasty (only lightly filtered), creamy in texture, and sumptuous. Deep golden colour. Not much bitterness, accent is on the sharp yeastiness vs. the full maltiness. It was so good I had to buy the matching glass with the pig with pearls on it. jonas (8571) - Garching close to the monks, GERMANY - APR 20, 2003
Spicy citrussy hop nose with slight wort background.
Pale and cloudy, unfiltered.
Yeasty notes, grassy bitter finish together with a
fizzy pearling mouthfeel, yet full body.
Refreshing and tasty. Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - JAN 20, 2006
Draught at the brewpub. Slightly hazy golden coloured. Malty and grainy aroma. Sweet and soft flavour with hoppy finish with some bitterness. Fresh and pleasant. emquam (3) - - DEC 7, 2011 does not count
Grainy malt character, with smooth grassy butter in the mouth. The hops give it a balanced bitter-lemon cleanliness that lasts through to the end. Finish is refreshing and slightly vanilla, leading to a long hoppy, malty but clean aftertaste.

On tap at the brewpub. A almost clear golden beer with a mid-sized good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild fruity malt, grains, mild floral hops. Taste of floral hops, mild grainy malt, hay, nice sessionable stuff. hawanna (3390) - Freising, GERMANY - APR 21, 2012

Hazy gold with a white head. Aroma of malt and grass. Taste is quite sweet pale malt with some honey and light bitterness with a sweet finish. Chewy texture. Dixen (1465) - Flagstaff, Arizona, USA - JAN 20, 2006
Draft at the brewpub. Bready maltyness in the nose, with some light grassy hops. Slight hazy yellow body with a small white head. Malty flavor, light bread with a nice pricly hop flavor. ARMed (625) - Garnet Valley, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 25, 2013
I enjoyed this brew. It’s taste has a subtle smokey flavor that is not dominant, but it is evident. There is a slight flavor of bacon, which I guess is why there is a pig on the label! The palate is very smotth and the there is very little obtrusive aftertaste. The appearance is the one issue of this beer that I believe limits its overall score. It is a cloudy brew with no head or lacing. These are big negatives in my rating. Other than that the beer is refreshing, smooth and flavorful.
