50cl bottle: Pours a cloudy amber bronze with a spotty-lacing froth of off-white head. Has a sweet malted wheaty nose with some biscuity notes and plenty of banana, lemon and clove. Starts with fine carbonation and good fullness with nice malty sweetness well-balanced with lemon zest and complex yeasty esters. Finishes slightly drier and smooth. An enjoyable Hefeweizen.

Hefig süßlicher, dann leicht röstiger Antrunk. Die Hefenoten sinken schnell, erkennbare Herbe. Milde Würzigkeit. Unscheinbar aber nett. 10/8/9/8/6/9

Cloudy amber/cider color; Medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of wheat, some clove, & spice; Flavor of wheat, yeast, bananas, and some clove; Not a typical hefeweizen - but not bad.

bottle. Deep amber with one finger head. Kind of a strange smoky banana. Slightly acidic. I liked the pig on the bottle.

Burnt orange pour with tall pillowy off white head that has good retention. Aroma is banana, toast, spiciness and booziness. Flavor is banana, bubblegum, toast, cardboard oxidization and an odd acidity that doesn’t taste quite right.Medium body, high carbonation and dry finish. Not very good, sloppy, oxidized and possibly infected.

Dark, slightly cloudy orange. Filmy head that quickly fizzes away. Smells like candied fruit, brandy, bananas, nail polish. Taste is bubblegum, then nothing. Extremely fizzy. Straight down the drain.

Bottle: Amber-gold with a huge beige head. Smoky wheat, orange aroma. Taste is reminiscent of orange soda....some banana....tangy. A little different...the soda pop note is a bit odd....tasty, but not what I expected.

This is some garbage. Bought fresh to the best of my knowledge and just flabby and crappy tasting. It is brown orange and headless. It smells kind of like caramel and earth. It is sticky sweet and overcarbonated. A touch of tartness and a bit of a fruity character is the only real resemblance to a hefeweizen it has. I was kind of hoping this would be a cookie cutter hefeizen in a goofy bottle but it’s just nonsense.

The highlight for me was the pig label on the swing-top bottle. This had a ridiculously tall head over a light amber body. It smelled as bananas would if they were made of metal. The flavor was bananas with a touch of wheat and a twist of lemon, all very light. The finish was like biting into an orange pip. This apparently will not be my favorite Hefeweizen.

500 ml. bottle. A slight gusher. Pours a thick. rapidly collapsing ivory head, over a clear light amber (SRM 10) body....nose is light apple, pear, minimal banana, clove....taste is light cereal, hints of apple, very light clove, minimal hop....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation high, light acid. This is an atypical Hefe. The aromas and flavors, while not off, are all very light for the style making for a dull uninteresting beer. BJCP 7/2/12/4/6

500ml bottle, thanks to Alicia for picking this up for me from Iowa. Date on bottle reads 03/05/13. Poured into my weizen glass. Hazy darker sort of orange amber color, definitely dark for a hefeweizen. Bigger bubbly airy fizzing beige head, that soon fades to nearly nothing, leaves no lace. Couple sediment chunks visible in the body. Medium body. Pronounced, stronger, soft tingly carbonation. More sweet taste, light bitter, kind of peppery bite to it. Wheat grains, light banana, more spice. Not a good hefeweizen, though not undrinkable
