Picked up at New Leaf Market in Tallahassee, Fl. Pours a murky light orange wth a frothy white pour and thick delicate lacling. Aroma has the requisite cloves with doughy, biscuity notes. Flavor has some banana notes with some buttery back end notes. A bit of toffee and butterscotch slips in there as well. Mouthfeel has a slight spritzy feel to it, but not too carbonated.

UPDATED: DEC 4, 2004 My overall impression of this beer was one of butter and bananas. Fairly dry, lightly bitter, mild esters, moderate diacetyls, some light toffee, not as spicy as I’d have liked. Briny. Hazy oaken gold with a good latch bottle, decent label and whipped cream head. A bit non-descript. Finishes quickly with a residual buttery aftertaste. Mouthfeel is satisfying, somewhat starchy with a muted cereal bitterness. Not fizzy or edgy in the least. This would be a good complement to a vinegary salad or gamebirds.

Pours a cloudy pale golden with a thick frothy white head. Aroma is very true to style with a pleasant citrus and banana character with a touch of peppery spice. Good German yeasty profile throughout, supported by the thick malty wheat body. Nicely sweet and balanced, this goes down very smooth and flavorfully. An enjoyable hefeweizen.

Bottle pours a large foamy white head, cloudy pale yellow, soft carboation, with spotty lacing.   Lovely wheaty aroma with the usual cloves and banana.   Forwardly bready/wheaty with slight spices.   Enjoyable body, good mouthfeel.   Finishes very wheaty, slight banana and clove all the way through.   Not bad!

Looks and smells very nice. Big puffy white h ead. Nose is all bananas, faint clove and bubblegum, and more banana. Hazy golden orange hue. Unfortunately, the palate isnt very exciting in my opinion. Slightly bland, with a strange metallic or off flavor. I guess I will have to try it again just to be fair...Cloves, sour soapiness.

0.5 l bottle. Pours rather pale and cloudy with a nice white head. Banana clove aroma. Malty sweet banana clove flavor. Rather typical German weizen. Maybe a bit toward the blander end though. But clean and refreshing. No soap.

Yellow/orange colour. Fizzy head. Soapy taste, hints of bubblegum. Banana and yeast are a bit hidden behind the soapiness. Not a good Weizen.
