Ins Glas ergießt sich ein bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch malzig fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack leicht röstmalzig, Karamell, fruchtig.

Erzengel (8744) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - DEC 27, 2013
50 cl swing-top bottle. The beer starts malty, crisp. A bit caramel in the mainpart, slightly bitter. Not as sweet and caramel like the old "Schwelmer Bernstein", but sweeter than the one from Fiege. Highly drinkable. The aftertaste is long, malt, slightly bitter, a bit grainy. Crisp and round.
Nice and solid beer. Easy to drink, not too sweet, nice aroma. In the end very smooth and nicely caramelly. --> 12/12/11/12

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass very dark, almost black. Small head. Starts fine soft-malty, some earthy hints. Modest roasty-rusty. Finish well balanced, quite drinkable. Nice!

Bottled. A pale amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2013 Milky golden colour with steady head. Body is medium. Nose of hops. Taste of gentle hops, spices, grass and grains. It is okay but just so replaceable.

Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Deep brown-amber in colour with steady head. Smooth body. Taste of rich malt, dark nuts, roasted grains and mild hops. Very easy to drink, really quaffable. It isn’t dull at all but very fresh and easy-going.

Grima (2394) - Merzkirchen, RLP, GERMANY - DEC 19, 2012
The beer in the glass is dark copper / amber colored with high off-white head. It smells very malty and chocolaty, with lots of caramel and some aroma hops. Starts hoppy-bitter, coupled with lots of caramel, toffee and chocolateThe middle part is neat malty, again very chocolatey and caramelly, with a subtle roasted flavor in the background. Goes into a roasty malty finish with a pleasant hop note!
