Growler... RBSG 2014... Pours clear and copper with a small, creamy, off-white head. Great retention. Smells like a blend of birch beer and cola. Full bodied, but flat. The flavor is an integration of toasted malts and vanilla with a hint of birch syrup. Minerally finish.

Growler @ Brunch. Mahogany pour with a small khaki head. Sweet bread and toffee on the nose. A hint of tartness. Somewhat grassy and herbal. Kind of sticky on the palate. Lots of caramel, toffee, toast. Grass, herbs, and a slight woodiness. A little bit sour on the finish.

phaleslu (10742) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 30, 2014
Pour from a growler at the RBSG brunch. Pours a cloudy tea-amber with a small off-white head. Notes of toasted and caramel malts, sap, brwon sugar, earth, and leaves. Light-medium bodied, with a malty, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Interesting beer.

3.5
vyvvy (6775) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Sampled during the RBSG14 brunch - Pours cloudy brown with a white head. The aroma has sweetness, sap, richness, brown sugar and toffee - these descriptors make it sound much sweeter than it comes across. It has a medium light body with lots of carbonation. The flavor begins with the aroma notes along with a weird medicinal flavor and heavy sap. The finish is on the astringent side. The one was just okay to me.
