32oz growler tasted during RBSG bus tour. Brown color. Thin ring of off-white head. Good cinnamon, spice, maple, apple aroma. Medium body. Smooth kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Light slick. Kind of light tart apple taste, works very well with the malt and dark spice. Good, interesting stuff.

Sampled during the 2014 RBSG bus tour - Pours brown with a tannish head. The aroma has woodiness, bark, dark nuttiness, weird earthiness and is very rough & rustic. It has a medium / light body with mild sharp carbonation. The flavor begins with rustic roastiness, berry-esque sourness, light maple and light wood. The finish has clean unfinished woodiness. Very unique one here.

Growler @ Bus. Dark brown color with minimal khaki head. Smells nice with lots of sage and flowers. Gingerbread, molasses, and a nice maple note. The flavor is a complete 180 from the nose. Quite sour with lots of lemon and sweet tarts. Still a fair amount of ginger...maybe some molasses.

Howler @ RBSG 2014: Pours a murky brown with an okay head and lace. Very floral nose with some mint and spice. A bit of acidity and roast along with light handed maple syrup twang. The taste is more tart than expected, provides an interesting tart vs sweet contrast. The spices actually sort of got in the way IMO. Not quite sure if this was intended or not, strange like so many other Scratch offerings.
