On tap at Global Brew. Pours a clear pale amber with a modest off white head. Aroma is hops and malt. Taste up front is clearly in the alt style with sweet caramel malt, but then the hops kick in which is stylistically too dominant and more like an IPA. Pour from a growler at the RBSG brunch. Pours a clear, deep amber with a white ring for a head. Notes of toasted and biscuit malts, leaves, nuts, dry grains, and toffee. It has a medium rough body with lots of carbonation. The flavor begins with spiciness, graham crackers and nuts. The finish has tons of phenolic spice. Sampled at Schlafly during RBSG. Pours a hazy brown color with white head. Nutty, malty, dark Munich malts flavors. One of the better Scratch beers I’ve had.
