3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours from the 12 oz. bottle a cola-like brown color with a 1 1/2 finger light tan head that settles into a medium collar. I can’t get a read on what kind of bubble action is going on in the darkness. Aroma is of sweet, dark berries. 1st sip is of dark fruit, but it is much drier than the aroma. Mouthfeel is light and on the watery side. Overall, a rather mediocre beer. Victory Moonglow is my benchmark for weizenbocks, and this isn’t close to being in the same league.
355 ml bottle @ Timo A.laiti (8481) - Tampere, FINLAND - APR 16, 2017
Pours clear dark mahogany color with a small head. Aroma is grainy and a bit wheaty, yeast, some herbs, syrupy caramel. Flavor is wheat and dark tart fruit notes, some earth and yeast, some very subtle licorice on the background. A bit odd but some common style elements are there.

Bottle from Total Wine in Daytona. Dark pour with a rocky head. Black licorice, nut, dark fruit. Somewhat rich. Good. hman43 (1612) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JAN 14, 2017
The beer pours dark brown with a light brown head. The aroma have some maillard products. There are also aromas of roast, wheat, low levels of dark fruit, and a hint of smoke. The flavors are highlighted by roast and wheat with a low level of chocolate. There are also flavors of dark fruit. It has a moderate feel to it with the roast and chocolate more prominent in the aftertaste. It has a slight alcohol warming effect. Overall, this is a wheat and roast driven beer with some fruit and other flavors in the background. Capa (3325) - Kitsap, Washington, USA - NOV 3, 2016
Dark with a bright head. Malty and sweet with slight booze and fruit in the aroma. Medium bodied. Boozy heat, fermented/overly ripe fruit, malty, some chocolate. Decent. BeerdedDave (1785) - Beckley, USA - JAN 4, 2016
dark brown with very little head; light malty aroma; weak roasted malt flavor; for a fairly high gravity beer it comes across as light and watered down dews (25) - TAIWAN - DEC 12, 2015
