3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap @ Uber. Pours dull burnt yellow with thin head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts with just a hint of hops and some odd funky notes. Taste is big bitter juicy hops, with light citrus and pine notes. Nice caramel malt body that fades quickly into the background next to these hops. Big dominant bitterness. Not top of the class for DIPAs, but excellent for the price. I really had no idea Scuttlebutt could do a beer this good.
Cloudy orange amber with a generous off white head that hangs around and leaves some patchy lace. Nose is bready malts with pine and a good dose of citrus with orange peel at the fore. Flavour follows with light caramel sweetness and a big bitter middle and finish. Mouth is medium+ with average carbonation and a long bitter finish. Decent DIPA.

wonderful full bodied and balanced IPA. IT doesn’t hit as hard for an imperial IPA, but that’s where it excels. just the right intensity! leaparsons (10504) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2017
Bottle, Brewklopedia, Leicester. Hazy golden with an off white foam. Herbal pine with multigrain malts. Candied pineapple and lemon. Orange peel. Herbal and spicy with hot alcohol. Decent. ianwelby (1369) - SCOTLAND - MAR 26, 2017
Hazy, dark amber. Slightly sour, hoppy bread aroma. Flavour is tangy, sour fruit. Some bread. Mellow, licorice aftertaste. DavyK (133) - East Kilbride, SCOTLAND - MAR 11, 2017
Bottle from Drygate shop. Nose is rather unique: orange, syrup - hint of boozy Belgian sour beer-ness also. Jammed full of hops, almost to point where chewiness and bitterness overpower.

Powerfully malty DIPA. Earthy with some rough citrus in the back. Some resin accompanied by caramel sweetness. Strong bitter finish. Harsh but good. Lonick (1864) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - OCT 18, 2016
Bottle @home (Euro-vision 2016 tasting.) Pours golden/orange, white head. Nose is orange, fruit cocktail juice (syrup). Taste is orange and caramel with a bitter finish. jinroh (1533) - ESTONIA - SEP 23, 2016
Pours darker, slight amber in the colour I guess. Aroma displays some earth and herbal hops. This is not your sweet tropical IPA but more like earthy and harsh. Balance is still well developed, so when drinking it, you get a bit of biscuits, malt dust and yes, still some hop fruitiness. Drinks surprisingly easy, definitely feels lower abc than it actually has. Great double IPA, totally satisfying.
