On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours dark cloudy reddish amber with thick creamy head. Aroma is toffee malt and light hops. Taste is big and rich with strong hoppy pine finish. Listed as 10% abv but doesn’t taste it.
Bottle, shared with Parksy. Deep copper amber pour with a lively beige head. Aroma of apples and musty fruit. Flavour is a combination of berry-sweetness and strong bandaid with dry, astringent tea-like malts. This is clearly an infected/off bottle, based on the other ratings offered here. Too bad. reebtogi (6330) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - OCT 11, 2016
650ml bottle (9.48% ABV) pours a deep amber color with 2 fingers of light beige head that leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is pine and grapefruit with some caramel and light roasted grains. Taste is a pine and grapefruit hop bitterness with a caramel malty sweetness finishing with light roasted grains. Full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, a bold tasting DIPA that is sure to satisfy the needs of most hop lovers out there. Balanced hops and malts. Recommended. On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very strong, with resinous hops and big caramel malts. Flavour is robust, with loads of resinous hops upfront followed by just enough dry caramel malt. Damn, this is great - robust and balanced, while being a kick in the face all the same. Excellent. deep red color, a touch of caramel, cherries and fruitiness. Clean, made, moderately hoppy beer. Malty shines in the mouth. A bit of crystal malt. Lingering clean
