3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance is a dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma is immediately smoked malt, with a finish that implies nitro. Taste is again malty, but bitter and smoked. Borders stale but not completely. Palate is frothy and full.
From old tasting notes. Deep copper brown color. Rocky beige head. Sweet earthy toasted malt aroma. Crisp dry malt finish leads to a bitter hop finish. j12601 (12000) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 24, 2017

Tap at the Orlando venue. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige head. Aroma is pleasantly fruity. Flavor is malty, but not nutty. It seems floral with some grass, and is decently bitter. Could be a short circuit in my brain, but it suggests Best Bitter.

Draught. This is a decent little brown ale. By no means my favorite but not bad either. jbruner (4747) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - SEP 17, 2013
Pours a deep clear brown on tap with fluffy tan head that leaves good lace. Aroma is nice toasted nuts and barley, a hint of caramel. Taste follows with notes of chocolate, slight bitterness, sweet finish. Not too bad actually. BreWedge (534) - goose bay, Newfoundland, CANADA - AUG 10, 2013
On tap @ Sea Dog Brewing, Bangor, ME. Pours a clear rusty brown/amber. Aromas very malt dominant with caramel, biscuit, and honey. Tastes are similar with a nice sweet biscuit and honey up front and a gentle bitterness on the finish. Medium body, light carbonation and medium bitter finish. Nice beer.

Poured as part of a taster flight at the Woburn brewpub. Nice amber color, light head, light lacing. Caramel and malt on the nose, caramel notes on the palate. Very nice and goes exceptionally well with the risotto arancini off the appetizer part fo the menu.
