3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours light copper with a large fizzy white head that fell to nothing. Pleasant mildly sour grainy nose with hints of nutmeg and cinnamon. Bubbly and thin/medium bodied on the palate with flavors of subtlety sweet pumpkin pie. Finishes very nicely for what it is. Heck, I really enjoyed this beer. "Beats the hell out of DFH!"
Draft at Sea Dog Brewpub in Conway, NH. Clear light gold color with a small head. Good lacing. Glass is rimmed with cinnamon sugar. Nice pumpkin spice flavor without being over-spiced. Smooth. The cinnamon sugar really sets set the tone for an enjoyable brew. slowrunner77 (12844) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 11, 2016
pleasant enough, but a very thin and highly carbonated beer that relies a little too much on the spices instead of brewing a good beer. FROTHINGSLOSH (8142) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 28, 2015
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange color with a medium sized creamy orange-white head that left decent lacing. The aroma was sweet with cinnamon sugar, nutmeg and a bit of bread. The flavor was sweet and bready with cinnamon sugar, nutmeg and clove notes. Medium length finish. Medium body. Ok. ganache (6057) - New Jersey, USA - NOV 7, 2014
Bottle, screw-top. At least they’re up front with stating it’s "natural flavor" rather than direct pumpkin addition. Nose is seasonally spicy with light earthy and vegetal tones, but overall sweetness is dominant. Pours clear pale orange with a soapy beige head. Thinnish medium body with some actual malt character but more in the way of cinnamon, allspice, and an absolute overload on nutmeg. Off-dry, surprisingly, with nothing but spice in the finish, reminds of the dregs of pumpkin spice lattes and the like; lightly wooden, too, with a touch of bitterness and astringency, artificiality. Bottle. Clear deep golden color, medium white head. Aroma of fall spice. Taste is watery spice.
downender (8891) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - OCT 19, 2014
Bottle. Clear, deep, gold with no head and slight carbonation. Light and sweet aroma of pumpkin. Full, carrot cake aroma with some cinnamon and artificial pumpkin syrup edge. Strangely drinkable for a ’flavour added’ beer. labattslover74 (86) - Florida, USA - OCT 10, 2014
Pours a golden amber with fast dissipating head. Smells of cinnamon, nutmeg, taste the same. actually taste more like apples than pumpkin, but overall a nice brew. deyholla (12276) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 26, 2014
Bottle at Zoo Brew. Pours a clear deep gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has notes of sweet grain and sweet pumpkin with a bit of spice. Flavor has lots of sweet grain and heavy spice with a hint of pumpkin. Beerdedone (3452) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 26, 2014
Bottle. Pours golden yellow with an average white head. Aroma of light pumpkin, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Flavor was super light and watery with artificial spices and slight pumpkin. PorterPounder (8288) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - SEP 9, 2014
Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling medium golden pour, very quickly fading off-white bubbly head. Aroma has a some candy-like nutmeg and cinnamon notes. Flavor is slightly harsh with an overabundance of artificial spice - mainly ginger with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon. Mouthfeel is slightly tinny and harsh. Not one of the better pumpkin offers this year.
