COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A refreshing, straw-colored ale. The intense aromatics of Cascade hops are balanced by the richness of traditional two-row British malted barley. The fruity palate and crisp finish of this top-fermented ale bespeak of its British origins.

On tap at the brewery. Pour a relatively clear amber brown with a medium sized white head. Light citrus on the nose, a hint of malt. Medium bodied, soft and fruity, a bit of sweetness. Malt and toast. Gentle fruit into the finish, soft malt, toast, a bit of sweetness.

From old tasting notes. Labeled as "Mystic Seaport Pale Ale". Bright Amber orange color. Fluffy beige head. Spicy, sweet toasted malt aroma. Bittersweet toasted malt flavor hints at black pepper and charcoal. Dryish malt finish.

Draught as Mystic Seaport Pale Ale. Clear amber with small creamy beige head, malt aroma, low carbonation, medium bitter malty taste, thin body, medium bitter finish. More like a bitter rather than a pale ale.

Kinda orange-y, but honestly not bad at all. Maybe a bit syrupy. Would drink on a hot day though. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

it IS good, for a blonde ale, but is still JUST a blonde ale. the style doesn’t have the ability to blow one away. this one is light, fruity, and well balanced, if one dimensional. recommended for blonde lovers."

Pint at Mystic Seaport Spouters Tavern under the name Mystic Seaport Pale Ale. This was amber and hazy. Nice tropical fruit with grapefruit. A hint of cinnamon. It was malty and lightly bitter. I am not sure this is the same beer.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a very light yellow colored body with no lacing, and no rings. No carbonation is seen rising. An ever so small white head less than a film dissipated within seconds. The smell had some light malts with just a bit of graininess to it. The taste had some of the grains come back with the malts, mainly balanced, but nothing spectacular. A bit grassy and herbal. On the palate, it sat at/about a light, and was fairly sessionable, with no carbonation felt in my mouth. It had a balanced clean dry finish to it. Overall, this was not a bad beer, though it was nothing spectacular it does the trick on a warm day. I would have this again, most likely grillin’.
