Picked up a bomber while driving through Santa Cruz. Very aromatic and inviting. Anticipation grew while letting the huge head settle and the beer come to temperature. Malty sweet and powerful citrus hops. Good malty start and a bitter hop finish, somewhat mild in the middle ground. Another well done California brew.
Bottled. An amber beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet mlaty with notes of caramel and berries - especially cowberries. The flavor is sweet again with notes of caramel and berries, leading toa dry and rather bitter finish. The body is thin inspite of the 7.4% ABV. ThomasE (5174) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 2, 2007
Clear deep amber colour with a small dense off white head. Malty, sweet, vague buttery aroma with hoppy, piney notes. Hoppy, piney and quite bitter flavor with fruity and light sweet notes. kp (10880) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

(Bottle 65 cl) Clear, amber golden with a creamy, yellowish head. Citrusy nose. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel with a metallic whiff and fresh, citrusy accents - a hint of bonbons also. Soft yet still fairly hoppy. 160607 Grovlam (4257) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUN 17, 2007
Bottle. Average creamy off-white head that mostly diminished. Fair lacework. Clear sparkling body with an amber color. Aroma of caramel, rye bread, grapefruit and floral notes with some underlying citrus like feel. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light alcoholic texture. Moderated sweet flavor with well balanced bitterness and a hint of acidic notes as well. Nice light dry and bitter finish. Overall a reasonable balanced beer. yesyouam (1016) - Fairport, New York, USA - MAY 17, 2007
(Sampler at the brewpub) This beer pours a deep oily red with a touch of cream-colored head. It almost looks like amaretto. The aroma is of deep, solid, tart malt with a dash of minty hops. It has a heavy, oily body. The flavor is of lush, thick malt. It is round and well-balanced. The flavor of alcohol is present, but pretty well masked. Another great beer from Seabright. 22oz bottle via trade with tever - thanks Tom! - Pours dark amber with a nice short offwhite had. Aromas of grapefruit, orange and a little pine. Flavor is malty and sweet in the fore with lots of caramel but soon that gives way to lots of grapefruit and a touch of pine at the bitter finish. Pretty well balanced and the alcohol was covered very well. Not a bad brew at all..
