Had at the Sebago in South Portland, Maine. I liked the red color of this. Beers can be so pretty. Tasted like brown sugar mixed with some coffee. ericnixon (745) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 15, 2005
On tap at Sebago. Beautiful dark amber color. Caramel and brown sugar taste are accompanied by a somewhat stouty, chalky mouthfeel. Oakes (18794) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 6, 2003
Dark brown; nutty, toffeeish aroma. Sweetish palate with decent malt development. Toasty, toasty, toasty. CapFlu (5132) - Victoria, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 3, 2003

Deep Brown color with a very slight amber undertone and little head. Sweet fuity aroma and flavor with a hint of hops. Medium bodied and relatively smooth.

I found this beer to be an average brown ale. I'd love to try it again, being that I had just drank the stout when I tried this puppy. Merc (313) - Pullman, Washington, USA - APR 1, 2002
Poured with a nice head which quickly dissipated. Not much aroma but the flavour more than made up for it. Nice earthy taste with hints of chocolate and nuts. Very good brown ale.
