22oz bottle in a plastic cup. Pours amber/ruby with a cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel malts, light fruits and spices, sage, and a good amount of floral hops. Flavor the same, with a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer for the style.
Fairly dark and malty for a saison. Bit of dry grassy funk to it. Lively carbonation. Very sweet, in my opinion. The additions of sage have devolved into a slightly vegetal, unremarkable flavor. crazyvin (2026) - New York, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Poured a clear amber hue with a tan head that faded away to a thin coating but did have some nice lacing. Aroma had some caramel malts, some sweet candied sugar and some barnyard notes. Flavor was mostly sweet but there was enough tannins and barnyard to balance it out a bit. Carbonation seemed appropriate. Mouthfeel was moderate seemed to have a slightly stickiness to it. 22 oz. bottle. No born on or best before date anywhere. English pint shows a dirty amber color with large, fast, diminishing head. Weak retention. Nose is an odd mix of caramel malt and perfume hops. Unfortunately this brew sat to long in my basement. (Purchased this back around April 2012)Musty dead hops, yeast and a hop or spice that just isn’t pleasant. Tastes sort of like olive juice. I don’t know what Pineapple Sage is supposed to taste like; perhaps olives? Anyhow, Not a big fan here. j12601 (11831) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUL 15, 2012
Bottle at a tasting at Paul’s. Pours a lightly hazed caramel amber with a medium sized white head that falls off quickly. Big sticky pineapple notes on the nose, musky tropical fruit. Medium bodied, soft malt and musk. Sweet, malty, a touch of earthiness. Long musk, a bit of sweet grapefruit.

Bottle at Paul’s. Pours amber with white head. Nose/taste of herbs, pineapple, citrus, lemon zest, sage and yeast. Medium body. italarican (1550) - Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 14, 2012
Bottle at Paul’s. Clear amber pour. Aroma is a bit off with notes of cooked banana and celery. Surprisingly grainy with corn sweetness. Mildly yeasty with decent level of bubble gum-like esters. Plenty of bubble gum in the finish. crosamich (433) - Twin Falls, Idaho, USA - MAY 25, 2012
First sip this seemed decent but it became quite astringent and somewhat bitter the further into the bottle I went. Flavor is good. There isn’t enough to balance that out, doesn’t quite work for me. porterhouse (1580) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - APR 22, 2012
(22 oz. from Tully’s) Pours hazy reddish-amber with an off-white head. Aroma of spice, yeast, caramel. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, lightly pebbly. Flavor of yeast, spice, banana, caramel, fruit. A little peppery in the finish. Some sourish overtones. Kind of a "meh" as a saison. hbmason (1086) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - MAR 31, 2012
On draft at the waterfront location. Amber color with a light white head. Nice and well balanced. Dry and nice.
