Keg at the Portland branch. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige cap. The nose has lots of ashy roast, a bit of chocolate. Light to medium sweet flavor with bitter char, more ashy roast, tobacco, dirt, cocoa. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sweetness to finish, more bitter char, earth, burnt marshmallows, subtle coffee, baking cocoa. Decent. herne (12) - - AUG 27, 2013
So not happy at all. They must have change the recipe. The menu said ABV is 4.7. There was a off white head the beer is black. Not much carbonation. Taste roasted malt no chocolate at all and the beer is very thin. Do yourself a favor pass on this one. Had a sebago brewing co. on Payne in Portland, Maine. 12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown almost black color with a huge light tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and bitter coffee. Taste is smoky, chocolate, and bitter coffee in the finish. Vballnbeer (158) - Gorham, Maine, USA - JUL 19, 2013
This is a really nice dark roasted stout. On draft, it has a really nice head, great aroma, and a very dark, almost black color. The taste is a very smooth roast flavor with a nice hop finish that leaves a dryness to the palate. One of their best. czar (9338) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 8, 2013

Opaque brown/black with a solid two-finger head, and a curtain of lace. Taste is mild toasted caramel malt with a hint of coffee and cream. Finish reveals a hint of hop bittering. Taste is a little watery, in a good way, similar to Murphy’s Stout. Easy to drink and satisfying. Recommended. j12601 (13027) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 28, 2013

Draft in Scarborough Fair. Black, thick beige head with good retention and a solid curtain of lacing. Aroma of rich dark bittersweet chocolate. Taste is bitter cacao. Nice. Light body. MacBoost (1934) - Victor, New York, USA - APR 28, 2013
Pours an inky black with almost no head. When held up to the light, it looks pretty thin. Aromas of a pretty solid roast with some bitter chocolate. Pretty nice aroma, actually. Taste is some heavy roast, some marshmallow, perhaps a bit of coffee. Thn mouthfeel detracts from this one. Pretty good overall.
