on tap at the brewery in portland. Reminded me of guiness. Not very complex at all. It was a decent stout. I recomend the barrel aged version. Much better. TaktikMTL (7823) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 25, 2010

Light roasty malt aroma with a some spicy hops. Really dark brown color with a small brown head. Sweet beginning with a bitter finish. Light medicine in the middle. Slacks (615) - Bolton, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 31, 2010
Draught @ Sebago Brewing Company, Portland, ME: Comes black, giant marshmallow tan head. Aroma is molasses and toffee, roast coffee, anise and sour cherry. Drinks very smooth, if not a little watery. The taste provides plenty of roasty coffee beans, dark cocoa, lots of bitterness, almost no sweetness at all. Enjoyable! yesyouam (1016) - Fairport, New York, USA - JUN 19, 2010
Sebago Lake Trout Stout is a brown-black ale with a thin brown head that fades. It has a very roasty, chocolate, coffee aroma. It smells so roasty! It’s quite full bodied and quite smooth. The finish is slightly gritty. It’s bitter and roasty with chocolate and coffee notes. There’s a touch of anise at the finish. It’s a wicked solid American stout.

Tons of chocolate and coffee in the nose, with quite a bit of dried fruit that include prunes. Opaque black under a thick, lacy top. Tons of chocolate in the flavour with sweet, dark malts and a dark malt bitterness that comes off as a bit dry in the end. Lasting coffee flavour, light to medium body, low carbonation, moderately bitter chocolate finish. SuzyGreenberg (1603) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 3, 2010
Bomber; thin cola brown with spotty off-white head; thin aromas of coffee and light chocolate; soft texture with light flavor profile; stale coffee, mild roast and a little chocolate; very light and kind of simple overall BOLTZ7555 (3027) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAY 28, 2010
Dark mahogany pour with a 1/2 inch khaki foam that left a spot or two inside the glass. Lots of dark roasted malt and coffee, accompanied by ash. Burnt marshmallow, caramel, and brown sugar as well. Medium mouthfeel. Solid. Lubiere (13994) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - APR 11, 2010
A deep dark stout with a thick dark brown head. In aroma, bitter chocolate, pepper, and some peaty notes. In mouth, a smooth and silky stout with bitter powdery chocolate, coffee grinds, quite nice. On tap at Portland location, April 2 2010. deyholla (11759) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 February Circle City Tasting. Poured a dark brown with a very small brown head. Aroma was full of roasted malts throughout, a bit one note. Flavor was similar and one note with roasted malts. Not particularly sweet.
