UPDATED: APR 4, 2014 Pours copper with a tan head. Smells of hay, spruce, citrus, sage, earthy. Great balance on the nose. Tastes of resiny hops, some melon, grapefruit, honey, pepper, spicy. Very assertive, but carefully balanced. Excellent! davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 8, 2011
Tap at the brewery. Great hoppy beer. Aromas of caramel, grass, and flowers. Taste is bitter, with long length. Palate is velvety, and medium bodied. Brown, with a frothy head. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - MAR 18, 2014
Reviewed from notes.
The appearance has a brown/orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head that takes a good minute before slowly dieing. Some nice speckled spider-web lacing leads gently into the body. Some light carbonation is seen rising.
The smell is sweet with some light hops entering in with a bit of pine and citrus.
The taste is sweet, once again, but the hops are fairly strong with a mild citrus taste.
The palate is about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue, sessionable.
Overall, out of all Sebago’s offerings, this is probably my all time favorite brew by them. dlovell2 (2089) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - SEP 28, 2010

A very smooth and fresh tasting ale. Good hop notes and a lightly sweet malty feel.

2016 version is 6.8% assuming same beer idea. Bright Amber pour had in patio midday. Nose is fresh hops and dried leaves. Tastes of fruit stripes gum, leaves, pine, floral. Some caramel sweetness to finish. Decent porterhouse (1580) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - OCT 31, 2009
(22 oz. bottle from Global Beverage) Pours hazy caramel-amber with two fingers of light yellowy-biscuit head. Big aroma of grapefruit, citrus and light pine over caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, a touch prickly with some hop huskiness. Staunch, sticky sheets of lacing cling to inside of shaker. Flavor of lightly biting grapefruit and citrus over sugary, almost grainy caramel along with vanilla. Light pine and fruit. Medium-heavy bitter bite from fore through finish with a lingering bitter aftertaste. Nice, fresh hoppy presence with a good malt backbone. halfonit (1356) - Fall River, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 10, 2009

Pours deep clear amber into a shaker. Tan head with excellent retention pancakes as is slowly recedes leaving slight sheets. Slightly sour, dark chocolate caramel and resin aromas. Full with upfront caramel turning to medium sweet resin. Dry lasting chocolate hop finish.
