Local Harvest Ale is brewed with hops grown in Maine. The abundant aroma of citrus, pine, and lemongrass come from hopping this beer four ways: in the mash, in the kettle, steeped, and dry hopped. This auburn Autumn classic is balanced with the careful addition of chocolate and caramel malts to create this extremely popular Single Batch Series ale.

Pours a clear amber with a medium white head. Aroma has some caramel and light earthy hops. Flavor is very earthy and very bitter...a bit nutty. Mouthfeel is medium/full and the finish is very bitter and dry.

Sampler at Sebago Portland. Pours golden with a white head. Leaves trace lacing in the glass. Has some solid citrus and pine notes on the nose. Finished clean. Flavorful but a bit muted for my tastes.

2016 version is 6.8% assuming same beer idea. Bright Amber pour had in patio midday. Nose is fresh hops and dried leaves. Tastes of fruit stripes gum, leaves, pine, floral. Some caramel sweetness to finish. Decent

Reviewed from notes. The appearance has a brown/orange colored body with a one finger white foamy head that takes a good minute before slowly dieing. Some nice speckled spider-web lacing leads gently into the body. Some light carbonation is seen rising. The smell is sweet with some light hops entering in with a bit of pine and citrus. The taste is sweet, once again, but the hops are fairly strong with a mild citrus taste. The palate is about a light to medium with nothing harsh on the tongue, sessionable. Overall, out of all Sebago’s offerings, this is probably my all time favorite brew by them.

(Rating #5235)

Draught @ GLB. This is a nice simple pale with straightforward malt flavor and a nice subtle hop bite.

A very nice pale ale which served as an effective palate-cleanser between the cheesy toast I just ate and whatever food I consume next..... Is this a borderline IPA?? It doesnt say what type of ale is in there on the label....

Draft at The Pony Bar. Made with all Maine-grown ingredients. Fresh and hoppy, with some pine resin in the flavor. Impressive, and a cool idea - I’ve always been a fan of Maine - but ends up being a little too bitter.

Poured from a 12 ounce bottle thanks go lukaduke. Pours a very hazy copper color with a beige cap of foam. The aroma has light resinous and a cotton candy note. The taste doesn’t have much in the way of bitterness until the finish. Sweetness is dominant here.

A very smooth and fresh tasting ale. Good hop notes and a lightly sweet malty feel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
