Bottle. This beer pours a clear orangish red with a light foamy head. Aroma is sweet malts, sugary, slightly woody and light spice. Flavor is caramelmslts and sugary notes. Easy spice in the finish. Kind of woody and rough.
Pours dark brown with a foamy off-white head. Nose is malty with notes of grain, molasses, and citrus. Taste is sweet. Medium body, moderate carbonation. Decent brew. Nothing particularly exciting, but I’d keep a 6-pack around. tfontana (1184) - Fremont, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 7, 2016
Can pour into nonic pint glass from Cigarette City. Appearance is cloudy light brown/dark orange (like a thick apple cider) with good sparkle, finger-width beige head with poor retention and nice sudsy lacing. Aroma is bready malt with fruit. Taste is bready malt with caramel, slight fruit, some alcohol. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with thick texture and average to lively carbonation. Overall, not terribly complex but a good fit for the style. WillRunForBeer (2803) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 24, 2016
Draft at old beer bar, aka Grill Next Door. Pours dark amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel, fruity esters. Flavor is malty, caramel, grassy bitter. jrodooo5 (1749) - DOVER, Delaware, USA - JUL 1, 2015
Pours a pretty cloudy mahogony w/ a retaining white head that leaves good lacing. The aroma is simply malt & rather boring. The taste is all malt upfront & then finishes w/ a good bitter kick. It’s ok on the palate & overall a decent beer. Beerathon (1680) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 29, 2015
Interesting color combination of brown, red, and orange. Thin head, but some lacing. Some toffee and caramel in flavor with faint citrus hops. Not quite understanding why this is a winter ale though.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2013 Pours medium brown off white head, flavors of sweet malt and fruits, hint of hop flavors. Fruit and hop bitterness finish. Lingers a while. Nice winter drink. dlovell2 (2380) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - NOV 27, 2013

12oz bottle. Pours a clear amber color with an inch of fluffy off white head Aroma of sweet carmel and faint spices. Taste of carmel and roasted malts, with a touch of spices. OKplus (788) - Oklahoma, USA - MAY 28, 2013
A - Pours hazy brown with a 1.5 finger of off-white head. Average retention some lower lacing.
S - Yeasty spice bread, mixed with sugary raisins, dates, and prunes. Heavily brewed cold tea, doughy yeast,
T - Sweet malt laced with pepper, cinnamon, brown sugar, and unknown other spices. Prunes start to rise above the other flavors, hints of orange tea come in with a nutty yeast. Finishes with an herbal hop bitterness.
M - Medium body, soft carbonation.
Not sure what style this fits in. Heavy yeast, some spice bread, and some mild hops make this good for a setting. Not sure I would seek this out though.

pours a dark amber with thin tan head. aroma is very faint. medium body. tastes of toffee, nuts, light coffee and butter (with hints of alcohol). finish is dark malt with some bitterness. I expected more spice in this, but those flavours are almost non-existent. a nice easy-drinking warmer.
