Sampled from the tap at the Railyard location. Pours a clear gold with a white head that lasts throughout the beer and laces. Aroma has notes of earthy grass with a bit of pine and a biscuit backbone. Flavor has notes of pine and earthy grass with a strong biscuit backbone. Draft @ brewpub. Orange with copper highlights. No head. Smells stale and flawed with popcorn butter. Oily palate. There is too much diacetyl but the hops cover up most of the problems and has a good malt profile. Oakes (18851) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 4, 2011
Slightly hazy tan. No head. The aroma has typically orangey simcoe notes. Mild bitterness. Soft orange and mango notes. A mellow pale ale. Might be an old keg, and shows a hint of diacetyl as a result. LilBeerDoctor (4193) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 12, 2011
On tap at the Second Street Downtown location. Pours a clear orange with a white head. Aroma of sweaty, oily hops. Flavor of very sweaty Simcoe hops (a real Simcoe bomb) with some grassy hops and hop oils. I sure love that Simcoe! Even though this is technically a pale ale, I found it hoppier and preferred it to the other IPAs on tap.
