COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Traditionally made strong & highly hopped so it would keep on its long journey, from England to India during British rule. Ours is a wonderfully bitter beer with a spicy aroma, some fruity characteristics and a lingering hop finish. A great aperitif!

On tap at the brewery. Great fruity resinous hop aroma. Grapefruit and orange rind. Spicy and floral, sweet caramel malts. Orange amber clear with foamy lacing off-white head. Medium-heavy watery body with medium carbonation. Grassy fresh hops and bitter from the start, with decent caramel sweetness and graininess. Bitter, albeit smooth, all the way from start to finish. Sharp grapefruit rind and ozone, grassy. Great puckering chalky bitter after.

Pours dark amber with a beige head. Has a citrus smell and has a delightful balance of hops, coriander, and citrus flavor with the right amount of bitterness to finish. One of the better IPAs Ive had.

Tap. ON my visit to SG, this was listed as 1.078 OG and 9% abv, so a bit stronger. Deep copper with a lacing beige head. Nose again beautifully mellow, melon, musky, snappy. Medium-bitter, very dry, lightly soapy and cleansing, touch of rye character, straight melon with some citrus and very light pine. Also has a minty note that Ive only found in the Hll varieties, a nice surprise. Medium-full, very soft (almost flat) but refreshing and very attractive!

12oz pour at the brewery. Pours a translucent orange with some sudsy white head. Nose is spot on, soapy, piney, orange, lemon, light malt. Flavor is the same, lightly malty, lightly lemony, a little tea, a little stone fruit, unripened plum. Clean finish.

DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 23, 2013
Growler from the brewery. Pours turbid orangy copper with 1-finger of lacy off-white head. Nose is very fruity, with tangerine, mango, caramel malt. Tastes caramel malty, smooth, complex, with mid-palate fruity notes of mango, pineapple, tangerine, and some berry notes. More fruity than piney or resiny, this one is very good.
