A - Pours deep brown with a fluffy one finger tall off white head leaving light lace down the glass.
S - Smells of bready wheat, light spice, bananas, clove and bubblegum. Not much sweetness initially but it really revs up as it sits in the glass.
T - Starts off with a bunch of chewy wheat slowly giving way to hints of bananas, spicy clove and bubblegum. The sweetness builds up as it comes to room temperature. Finish is a little chewy with some sweetness, lingering on the pallet for some time.
M - Medium body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Kinda chewy initially growing a little sweeter as it warms up in the glass.

Draft. Pours clear amber with thin, creamy off-white head; short retention and some lacing. Aroma is bread malts, grain, earthy notes, and slight nuttiness. Flavor is heavy bread and caramel malts, faint hops, and light dark fruit esters; sweet, malty finish. Medium body and carbonation with low warmth. Tap. Pours clear brown with a medium, creamy off-white head, medium retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is banana and clove esters, dates and plums with caramel and spicy wheat malt. Pours a nice moderate caramel color with a tiny pit of an off white head and not too much lacing. The nose brings forward caramel and some light, sweet malts along with a bit of clove alongside some banana. The taste is definitely dominated by the yeast with some banana, bubblegum, and a bit of spice. Some lightly-toasted bread and caramel in the background. Good light mouthfeel with nice carbonation.

Beautiful tawny color. Aroma full of clove and honey. The palate was spicy as well. I could drink this stuff all night.

Pours a transparent hazy dark copper amber with a thin, wispy-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet, toasty caramel malt and lemony citrus with some clove complexity and authentic German yeastiness. Starts with good fullness and sweet dark caramel German malt with a smooth bready yeasty character. Finishes smooth and semi-sweet with a peppery clove balance. Draught at the brewpub. Pours burnt orange with thin beige head. The aroma is soft banana and clove, burnt caramel, some chocolate hints, and some woody notes. The flavor is banana, earth, some bitter chocolate, clove, anise and pepper. It has a nice mellow yeastiness and good balance. There’s just a touch of lemony hops in the finish. I enjoyed this one. nice little malt bite to it, flavour has a tad of spice in it, a bit sweet. good for its style.
